Illia's POV

I ran through the stone halls, and up the stairs.
Shitshitshitshitshit…
I knew how boarding schools worked, and I knew that dorm beds were first come, first serve. And as this happened to be a low funded school, we’re talking about one good bed per dorm. And of course, I happened to get lost.
All of the doors had a strange key symbol on them, each one differing slightly. There were no floor numbers, no room numbers. Just keys.
I ran, rounding a corner, with my head down, and promptly slammed my face into something rock hard. I fell to the floor, grabbing my nose, which hurt like hell.
“Fucking shitting hell..." I muttered under my breath, as I felt something hot and sticky run into my hand.
“A…Are you okay?” a male voice said.
My head instantly snapped up. I could have sworn I had run into a solid wall, but standing there in the middle of the hallway was an extremely tall guy with a mop of brown hair over one side of his face.
“Aw fuck.” I said, probably too loudly.
The guy knelt down in front of me.
“Oh shit, you’re bleeding, I’m sorry!” He said as I pulled my hands away from my face.
“No, It’s totally my fault. God. I am so sorry. I totally ran into you.” I said, trying to stand up and failing.
“Is your nose okay? Is it broken? Don’t try to get up!” He said, grabbing my shoulder as I almost fell over.
I touched my nose. It hurt like shit, but it didn’t seem loose or crooked.
“I think its okay. Just bruised. Pretty badly, I think. You owe me a new face, dude. That was my favorite.”
He stared at me for a few seconds, obviously confused as hell. I rolled my eyes.
“It was a joke, idiot.”
A look of relief crossed his face.
“Shit, man… Let’s get you to the nurse.”
I shook my head.
“Naw, my nose isn’t bleeding anymore, I just need to clean it up, and I’ll be fine.”
“Uh… Okay, um… here.” He fished around in his pockets for a second, then pulled out a napkin and handed it to me.
“Thanks.” I said, wiping off my bloody face. “Why are you carrying around a napkin anyways?”
He shrugged.
I waited for more of an explanation, but none came.
I stood up shakily, and found that I wasn’t as light headed anymore.
“I should probably get going. Need to find my dorm still.”
“Me too. This place is really hard to navigate.”
I laughed.
“You’re telling me? I’ve been running around this place for 15 minutes and I STILL don’t know where I am.”
“What dorm are you in?”
I showed him the key I had been given.
“Looks kind of like mine.”
He pulled his key out of his pocket and showed it to me.
“Hey, would you mind… if I looked with you?” he asked slowly.
“Sure! But, uh… why? Haven’t I caused you enough trouble already?”
He shrugged.
“I broke your nose, I should make it up to you. And besides, two sets of eyes… well… two people looking for the dorms are better than one. Right?”
I didn’t question his sudden change of figure of speech.
“Hey! You didn’t break my nose! It’ll be fine. And besides, I ran into you, not the other way around.” I said as we started to walk off.
A few moments of silence of passed then,
“Hey, I never caught your name. I should at least know the name of the guy who broke my nose.”
He laughed.
“I thought I didn’t break your nose?”
I waved away his comment with my hand.
“Never mind that. I’m asking you what your name is.”
He smiled at me.
“I’m Tyron. You?”
I smiled back.
“Illia.” I said, as we walked off further into the school.
