Larimar's POV

We were ushered out of the arena by Milaek and Azami, and the door slammed shut behind us.
“Fuckin’ bitches…” I jumped and looked around frantically. Everyone stared at me as if I had gone insane.
“Did you not just hear that voice?” I questioned, turning slightly red.
“Uh… What voice?” Caleb asked, speaking for the others.
“Hehehehe. Stupid kid.”
“That one!” I said as I jumped.
“They can’t heeear meeee~” the voice said in a singsong tone.
“Are you feeling okay, man? Please tell me they did NOT slip hallucinogens in breakfast. I don’t wanna start seeing Elvis in my refrigerator, thank you very much.” Caleb said, which was greeted by a burst of laughter from Amber.
“Elvis! Hahahahahahahaha!!! Elvis! In pffffffttttt refrigerator!!! Ahahahahahahahahaah!!!” She managed to get out between her spasms.
This made everybody else crack up.
Suddenly something white flitted across my peripheral vision.
I whipped my head around, and saw a ghostly version of my Animal Sprit. It was floating around my head, looking extremely bored. “Have you been talking to me?” I asked it out loud.
Thankfully everyone else was too busy laughing to notice as we continued to walk.
“Maaaaaybe. You know saying everything out loud is just making you look more stupid than you already do, kid?” Great. Of all the Animal Sprits out there, I get stuck with this sarcastic piece of work.
I tried talking to him again, but this time with my thoughts.
“Like this?” I managed. It was a lot harder than I had expected.
“I don’t know. What do you think?” the Capricorn asked sarcastically, with a roll of its eyes.
“So why can I see you, and no one else?” I asked him.
“Well, I really have nooo idea. It couldn’t be that it’s because I’m YOUR guide and not THEIRS. No, that couldn’t be it at aaaaall.”
“Shut up.”
“Maaake me~”
I sighed. This was going to be a loooong day.
