As soon as the headmasters vanished, the entire hall rose to its feet in a mad rush for the door. I ducked out of a different door, not because I was particularly interested in losing my way, but more because I wanted to avoid Briar at any cost. However, Lisse grabbed the back of my dress.
“I couldn’t care less, but I believe that is a restricted area, and in this school they punish the roommates of the person who screws up as well.” I stared at her.
“Skeleton Keys is different from most academies. They don’t give you anything for free. For information, there’s always a price.” And with that, she walked away, leaving me to wonder exactly what I had signed up for.
